Martha Turlington

Marty has found much success in her 13 + years with the Turlington Law Firm. She was named office manager in 2003 and despite Marty’s success in helping the firm grow, her value is best measured in the way she cares for fellow staff members and clients. Over the years she has helped many of the new attorneys interning at the firm to develop skills that align with their interests and has helped them progress in their respective fields.

She joined the firm bringing a depth of computer and technology experience from both the military and private sector worlds. Previously, she served in the U.S. Army holding various positions in the areas of Target Devices Repair and Computer Operations. During her U.S. Army tenure, she lived in Germany, as well as Huntsville, AL, and was stationed at both Ft. Hood, TX and Ft. Bragg, N.C. Marty holds multiple certifications in advanced electronics and computer programming with complex Target Control Systems.

Active in the community, she enjoys multiple volunteer roles and is a member of several associations. She currently volunteers at the Hospitality House (residence for the homeless) to help with coordinating meals, and helps when needed at the Watauga County Democratic Party. Marty has also served on the board of directors for the Skyland Waters Property Owners, and was named Treasurer for a two-year term. She has served as Treasurer of Blackburn’s Chapel in Todd, N.C. Marty has a passion for animals and the environment evidenced by her memberships with the Sierra Club, Humane Society of America, High Country Conservancy, and the Worldwide Fund for Nature.
